Catering Guidelines

It is with great pleasure that we offer the following menu options.  We hope that these carefully prepared menus are helpful to you in planning your upcoming event.  However, remember that these are only suggestions and we are able to prepare custom menus if you so desire.  The following additional information will help you in further planning your successful event.  If additional clarification regarding these guidelines is required we will be happy to assist you. 

MENU SELECTION

To assure that your menu selections can be made available, please submit them at least 60 days  prior to your event.  Custom menus should be discussed directly with staff. 

MEAL GUARANTEES

A minimum meal guarantee of 30 days prior to your scheduled event is required. Balance due at this time. We will be pleased to set for and prepare to serve 5% over the guaranteed number of guests.  If a meal guarantee is not given, we will consider the number indicated on the event sheet to be the correct guaranteed number.  The guarantee can be increased, but cannot be lowered within the 30 days prior to the function.  You will be charged for the minimum guarantee or the actual number of guests in attendance, whichever is greater. 

SALES TAX

Applicable sales tax, currently 8% will be added to all food charges. Sales tax may be changed without notice. 

SERVICE CHARGE

A 15% gratuity/service charge will be added to all food charges.  Unusual service/labor may result in additional charges, such as the use of china, silverware, glassware that has to be cleaned and boxed. 

ALCOHOL SERVICE

The Washington State Liquor control board regulates the sales and service of alcohol. A Banquet Permit, obtained from the Liquor Store is required at any event serving alcohol. The permit must be purchased and posted 24 hours prior to the event.  Event coordinators responsible for all alcohol handling, ice, cups, bottle openers, and serving of all alcoholic beverages.  All Alcohol will be in either bottles or cans, no kegs allowed. 

FOOD SERVICE

 Red-Tail Canyon Farm does not allow any food to be brought onto the property, whether purchased or catered from outside sources. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of cancellation, you will be held liable for all losses sustained by Red-Tail Canyon with the exception of severed weather conditions or “Acts of God”. Any cancellations for food service within the 30 days are subject to 100% payment of anticipated revenues. Red-Tail Canyon has the right to cancel the contract without liability if you breach the contract or  if the rules are not observed.
